“If I could do one thing to undermine the ‘myth of autonomy - that we have this ‘right’ to die. No! We have a right to live!” Today we lost one of the most outspoken critics of assisted dying laws, Prof. William J. Peace. I had the pleasure of interviewing him our film, Fatal Flaws: Legalizing Assisted Death in 2016, where he eloquently describes what it’s like for most people living with disabilities when they enter a hospital setting. In this clip from Fatal Flaws, Bill speaks of encountering disability prejudice, first hand. Rest in peace, Bill. You were a true #prophetofhope.

Prof. William J. Peace, PhD (Colorado) in the film, Fatal Flaws: Legalizing Assisted Death. Peace recalls a night he spent in hospital, dealing with a deadly wound. After the doctor went through a 'laundry list' of potential complications, the doctor deemed William's future 'quality of life' enough to consider death.
